Project Status Workflow¶
Projects move through statuses as work progresses. The column a project sits in on the kanban board reflects its current stage, but there are also explicit status actions available on each project.
Status actions¶
From a project's detail panel, you can change its status with these actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Complete | Marks the project as finished and moves it to the Completed column |
| Pause | Temporarily pauses the project without archiving it |
| Resume | Moves a paused project back to active |
| Reopen | Reopens a completed project |
Moving via drag and drop¶
Dragging a project card between columns is the most common way to update its stage. You don't need to use the status actions for this — just drag the card to the appropriate column.
Completed vs. Not Now¶
- Completed means the work is done and delivered
- Not Now means the project is on hold or was declined — it stays visible on the board but is clearly marked as inactive
Both statuses keep the project (and all its linked records) fully intact and accessible.
