Sending for Signature¶
Once your contract is ready, you can send it to signers directly from Brightenly. Each signer receives an email with a link to review and sign the contract online.
How to send a contract¶
- Open the contract (it must be in Draft status)
- Review the content and confirm all signers are added
- Click Send for Signature
Signers will receive an email invitation immediately.
The signing experience¶
Signers click the link in their email and are taken to a signing page where they can:
- Read the full contract
- Add their signature using a mouse, touchpad, or typed name
- Complete any other required fields (initials, date, etc.)
No account or login is required for signers.
After signing¶
Once all signers have completed their signature, the contract status changes to Signed and you receive a notification. The signed document is stored in Brightenly and can be downloaded as a PDF.
If you need to cancel a contract after sending, open it and click Cancel. Signers will be notified that the contract has been voided.
