Gmail Integration

Connecting your Gmail account lets Brightenly capture your client email conversations automatically, so you can manage everything in one place.

Connecting Gmail

1. Go to Settings → Connected Integrations (or complete Step 2 of the onboarding)
2. Click Connect Gmail
3. Sign in with your Google account and approve the requested permissions
4. Brightenly will begin syncing your inbox

Once connected, your email address is shown as "Connected" in your integration settings.

What Brightenly does with your Gmail

• Incoming emails from contacts appear as conversations in your Brightenly inbox in real time
• Outgoing emails you send from Brightenly are delivered via your Gmail account
• Labels applied in Gmail are synced to Brightenly and vice versa

Auto-detection of new leads

When a new email arrives from someone who is not yet a contact in Brightenly, you can choose whether Brightenly automatically creates a contact and starts a project. This is controlled by the Auto-detect leads toggle in your Gmail integration settings.

Disconnecting Gmail

To disconnect Gmail, go to Settings → Connected Integrations and click Disconnect. You'll be asked to confirm. After disconnecting, new emails will not sync, but your existing conversation history remains intact.
