General FAQs¶
Can I use Brightenly without connecting Gmail?¶
Yes. If you prefer not to connect Gmail, Brightenly provides a dedicated email address you can use. Forward client emails to that address and they'll appear in your Brightenly inbox. You can also send emails to clients directly from Brightenly using this address.
Can multiple team members share an account?¶
Yes. You can invite team members to your account from Settings → Team. All team members can access projects, contacts, conversations, invoices, and contracts. Admins can also manage account settings and invite others.
Is my data secure?¶
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Sensitive credentials like Gmail tokens are encrypted in the database. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — Brightenly never stores card numbers or banking details.
Can I have more than one account?¶
Yes. You can create multiple accounts (for example, one per business) and switch between them from the account menu in the top navigation.
What happens if I reach my plan's limits?¶
If you reach the limit for contacts, companies, projects, invoices, or contracts on your current plan, you'll see a prompt to upgrade when trying to create a new record. Existing records are not affected.
How do I cancel my subscription?¶
To cancel, go to Settings → Billing and follow the cancellation steps. Your account and data will remain accessible until the end of your current billing period.
I found a bug — how do I report it?¶
Contact our support team via the Help link in the app. Include a description of what you were doing and what you expected to happen. Screenshots are helpful if the issue is visual.
